ABOUT THE BIRDS   

Each collage is a unique assembly of hand-cut papers, carefully mounted onto white cardstock. A small square on the back secures the piece in place, both enhancing the '3D' effect of the cut feathers and making it easy to transfer to any size cardstock for framing.

Every bird has its own individual character, as can be seen below!

I call them my "Visitors from Xanadu" a nod to the magical, mythical imagery in Samuel Taylor Coleridge's poem Kubla Khan.
