ABOUT THE BIRDS   Each collage is a unique assembly of hand-cut papers, carefully mounted onto white cardstock. A small square on the back secures the piece in place, both enhancing the '3D' effect of the cut feathers and making it easy to transfer to any size cardstock for framing.   Every bird has its own individual character, some adorned with colorful bows, caps, hats, and scarves.     I call them my "Birds from Xanadu" a nod to the magical, mythical imagery in Samuel Taylor Coleridge's poem Kubla Khan       (The poem begins: "In Xanadu did Kubla Khan a stately Pleasure Dome decree..."​)                 Thank you for looking, and please make contact should you have any questions.
